Industrial & Product Design

Package design for Miguitas, a brand that creates cakes and treats for dogs. I came up with the design concept to give the products a unique presentation that would complement the owner’s baking and make her goods stand out.

I hold a bachelor’s degree in Industrial Design, where I discovered my passion for working with raw materials such as wood and ceramics. I specialized in pottery and designed home décor products, often drawing inspiration from nature and personal childhood memories, like poems and books. All of my products were fully made by me, which meant learning how to use different tools — from carving wood by hand to operating machines like the laser cutter, metal lathe, and milling machine — as well as sanding, painting, and applying finishes. My creative process began with sketches or 3D models in SketchUp, which I later rendered in KeyShot, since at the time I was still learning other 3D modeling software. This blend of hands-on craftsmanship and digital design allowed me to bring my ideas to life in both functional and artistic ways.

What I love the most about industrial design is having an idea and bringing it to life, giving it purpose and seeing it in the physical world.

Window Display Design – GameStop

For this project, I designed a window display concept for GameStop during the release year of the new Super Smash Bros.game for the Wii console. My idea was to create an engaging display inspired by the game, incorporating its characters and elements to capture the excitement of the launch. Beyond the storefront, I also envisioned how the interior of the store could reflect the same theme by designing tables, seating, and other props inspired by Super Smash Bros., turning the space into a more immersive experience for customers.

Round Wooden Bag

I started by cutting two thick cedar wood circles for the bag. Using a CNC milling machine, I hollowed out both circles to create the bag’s body. I then added a laser-engraved floral design that I created in Adobe Illustrator. After sanding and varnishing the pieces, I assembled the bag, adding an interior lining and a leather strap for carrying. I take pride in doing every step myself—this hands-on approach is what made me fall in love with industrial design, creating my own products from start to finish.
